Natsu Matsuri (Summer Festival) was so fun!!!!!!! ^____^

After all the trouble we went through finding yukata, obi, geta, etc... though it was so far away (The Japanese School Changi Campus), and the weather was so hot and yukata + geta (the high Japanese wooden clogs) difficult to walk in... it was all worth it.

Love the food, games, and dance~

While queueing up for the tix... long queue, hot weather. arghhh...

See our lovely obi(s)?

The main stage.

Catching goldfish with "paper net". Didn't play this... cos I don't want a fish, and it's really quite cruel. saw some alrdy dead, floating on the water. plus so many ppl cheated. even after their nets tore, they drove the fish into their plastic bowls using the plastic rim of the net.

They call these yoyo! They are actually water balloons. You have to fish them up with this hook - thread with metal hook. Thread breaks and it's game over for you. the balloons are filled with water, so they're heavy nya. There's rubber band attached to balloons (one end), and the other end has a small loop where you're supposed to hook.

Our catch. Jye yi got 2, me and shan got 1 each. I returned to buy another one towards the end of the event though.

Main stage and grass area (where there are mats for you to sit down and picnic).

Kawaiiiiiiiiii nya!?

Me and shan bought a mask each. Wanted a more Japanese and trad one so got a white-faced man. Haha!

Bon odori!!! Mass dance. Formed circles around the main stage. It was really fun! though confusing sometimes cos we struggled to coordinate our hands and legs, left and right. lol.

Group photo with our fans (given at the entrance).

Memorable and really enjoyable day! Hope to attend the fest next year too!!!

Started work for a week, but this week can't really be counted as work.
It's just training... which is actually self-study and e-learning, taking online tests after you finish a module, making sure you pass... within a specified period of time (which is like 4 days?)
All of us in the same room, just doing training. so slack.

But it'll be different next week, I guess. we have to report to our own group office from next week... and auditors don't have fixed seating, so i don't know how messy it'll be. don't think all the seniors will be out on job ya? so there won't be enough unoccupied seats for us.

I've got no job assignments on my schedule yet.

Anyway, i watched Secret with my sis today. Jay Chou movie?
More because there was nothing else I'm interested in that we both haven't watched yet.

*NO SPOILERS* (I promise)

The starting of the movie was quite boring. The way he speaks is still quite slurrish and blur. And too many cutesy and corny lines between him and the girl. I was going "yucks", "ewww", "wth" in my mind. And got some ppl keep laughing at things which i don't find funny. Those ppl must be Jay Chou fans. Just because he did or said sth... giggle. *rolls eyes*
His acting still isn't that good. I mean, when I watched him as Takumi in Intial D, he was good. But that's because Takumi's chara is quiet and laid back... which he can pull off well cos he's just like tt.

BUT, I love the later part of the story. When the truth behind the secret is revealed! Then i think the movie is saved and I don't feel like i wasted 8 bucks on it. And I'm quite amazed that he came up with this storyline...

The other aspect that made the movie good was the piano playing!!!!!! Incredible. Me and my sis were munching on nachos from the start of the movie, and when it came to the piano playing scene, we stopped and watched in awe. It's amazing. Totally amazing. Whoa~

I'll prob rate the movie 3.8 to 4 out of 5 for the later part and especially the piano scenes and the music, though I really wanted to fall asleep at the starting.

Just a note though.
Watch the ending carefully. As in the last scene. The photograph.
I actually missed sth... so at first the ending really didn't make sense to me, but my sis pointed out what i missed and i was like "oh..."

I don't need to LOVE it, I don't even need to LIKE it.
Just let me not HATE it.
