My ex-colleagues made a comment on the last day of PA - that every intern who was attached to the company grew fat at the end of the attachment period... because they kept eating non-stop during office hours.

The only exception was, of course, me.

I drank more than I ate. But the main reason why I did not grow fat (or maybe even slim down) was because I did not take supper during that period. Having to sleep early, I missed my suppers. Now that I'm back to slacking days, I'm craving for something to eat after 12a.m. every night again. Argh!

A few photos I uploaded. I haven't gotten the main bulk of photos from my friend though!

The beloved tiny pantry where I always get my drinks from - ranging my plain water to lipton tea to pokka green tea/coke:

The room where I spent 7 weeks of my attachment sitting opposite my intern friend. Only on the last day of PA did we find out that the room is actually known as The Devil's Room or smthg. The feng shui master said that the room shouldn't be used for permanent purposes (i.e. nobody shld be assigned to the room for a permanent period). Eeks!

The view outside is nice though. You can see the port and the sea:

The place where I spent 2-3 weeks of my attachment. This place is freezing cold cos it's right under the aircon:

This photo was taken from 1 end of the office. See how small my office was? The other end of the room is the board room. Too bad they were having meeting then. I didn't manage to get any pics. The view from the board room is exhilarating though.

Death is scary.
I've feared death from young, but for the wrong reasons.
It's only when you grow up and mature, that you understand what's so scary in death.

Stayed overnight at my grandma's funeral wake on sat night because it was the last night. Played uno with my cousins until 33oam when we couldn't take it anymore and tried to look for somewhere to sleep. We only got to sleep at around 5am.

Then today was a hectic day. For the last praying ritual at the wake, the Buddhist followers who came to chant weren't even sure when to get us to kneel. Got us so confused.
As we scattered flower petals for blessings as we trailed after the van with the coffin inside, it was still ok.

On the bus ride there, I could see the van driving in front of our bus, and my heart started getting heavier and heavier.

Finally, at the crematorium, it was so horrible... the moment the coffin was pushed into the fire. I couldn't hold back my tears... and was doing everything I could to keep myself from sobbing.
Just last week, she was there eating dinner with us. (Luckily I went last sat for dinner) And a week later, everything is gone. We'll never be able to see her again, talk to her or anything. Nothing is left. At most, there are a few memories here and there... but most will fade with time.
I still remember though, for my 15th birthday, she took me out to buy clothes. (15th lunar birthday is special cos of some reason I don't really know. I had to buy red/pink clothes... eat red eggs and all) And I remember very well that at that time, she told me that if she's still around when I turn 21, she'll get me gold jewellery (21st lunar birthday special again).
And I'll be 21 this November...

Then I remember how she used to cook dishes because she knows I like those dishes... the steamed egg with minced meat, how she used to buy fried chicken from the coffeeshop downstairs and at the same time buy french fries for all of us.

How time flies. Back then when my grandpa passed away, I didn't feel this sad. Probably because I was still so immature back then (sec 3 or 4)
I remember though, how he used to cook supper for us. Either fishball which my cousin, my bro and I love to eat with lotsa chilli. And the soup is really tasty. Or it'll be fried chilli cockles. Yum yum.

My parents said that besides the point where the coffin was pushed into the fire, the saddest part was when they had to dragged the body downstairs to the coffin at the wake. I can't imagine that. It'll be too painful to watch.

And I start to wonder... who will remember us when we're gone? It's as if you lived your life, but you never had.

omg... i'm so damn tired.

my grandma just passed away yesterday morning.
woke up at 6am yesterday (slept at 12+ on sun night) to go down to my grandma's hse before work cos my mum wanted us to see her for the last time before she's placed in the coffin.
she looked so peaceful.

so, with little sleep and a not-feeling-so-well stomach, i went to work per normal and went down to the wake straight after work. reached hm at 1130 just in time to catch superband results.

i guess this whole week will pass like this. wake up at 710 to prepare for work, work from 9 to 6, and go down to the wake right after work, reach hm at 1130.

my god. even if i survive this week, i'll probably fall ill next week. counting the fact that ppl around me are falling/have fallen sick.

what a way to spend my last week of PA.

Trying to keep this short. no time, no time. will do a detailed one tmr or someday.

Last friday... lunch was superb. Scarlet Hotel Desire Restaurant. Though the place is small, it's so posh! like a high class pub. Red and Black theme.
WIll get the photos from my fren and upload them.

Main point:
Cosfest today was sooooooo fun! (Except for some guy who banged into me and made me drop my camera while i was trying to change batt. Dammit. But luckily not much harm was done.)

Work has gotten a lil bit more interesting recently.

After that trip to orchard for lunch i wrote in the entry below...

Rem I talked about my manager's 1-year-old son? (Her son is really cute cos mixed races. Brown hair, black eyes, really cute. But really naughty too. Whatever we tell him not to do, he does it the next moment, messing up the whole place. )

Last friday, the office manager (also my supervisor) was on leave (she's the busiest one of us all). The rest of us did practically nothing that day. Lucas (the boy), he climbed up a short step ladder behind me, onto the table at my work station... but because of the shelves, he had only a small space to stand and walk... like a ledge. My colleague and I tried asking him to come down but he ignored us. His mum told us to let him climb down himself. So my colleague asked me to keep an eye on him while she returned to her seat. Moments later, I was eating my fruits and Lucas saw me. He started walking sideways towards my desk where the fruits were. The next moment, he lost his balance and fell forward!!!!

I let out a short scream and rush forward to catch him. Luckily i caught him in time. He was falling forward down the step ladder lor! I think he hit his leg but fortunately not his head. He almost started to cry but i put him on his feet and he ran to his mum. Seconds later, he recovered liao. Never cry at all.

But I was still trembling in shock. His mum and my colleagues commented that I was more scared than him. Lol~ I can't believe his mum...

Then after they left in the afternoon that day, my 2 colleagues, me and my intern friend pull our chairs together in a circle and started telling ghost stories, recalling our ghostly encounters. Scary... one of my colleagues actually bumped into those things quite often last time. I was so scared I almost didn't dare to go toilet alone.

This week's Monday:
My intern fren went to meet her own friends for lunch but I chose to eat with my colleagues. We took a cab down to NLB at Bugis cos my supervisor wanted to go see this exhibition held there. Then we eat at Han's there. So fun! Shall post the photos next time. It's in my company email.

And...
Today i ate lunch with jye yi at Lau par sat. Then this Malay guy sat beside us and started talking to us. At one point in time, he said that he just came to Singapore and he's a Japanese. When he said that, I thought he was mad! Hahahaha!!! Malay Japanese... actually he stayed in Japan for 18 years... went over to Japan when he was in jr high. His citizenship = Japanese.

It was very funny and interesting though. He works around the area too, as a Regional Manager in a Japanese company. So we talked and exchange phone numbers, and he treated us to fruit juice. ^__^

I still find it a little strange and unreal. But it's interesting, ne?
Too bad he's not a true blue Japanese. Or else I'll ask him if he's a member of JAS and whether he has extra tix to Natsu Matsuri.
*Sigh* So sad that they not opening Natsu Matsuri to public now. Should have gone last yr!!!!!!
