still doing my lit essay... wad a drag. but gonna type out soon. hope i din write out of pt.

up to now, Odours Of Chrysanthemums is still my fav story out of the whole book. i dunno why... somehow feel more for it. the darkness, decaying atmosphere, the way liz reflects on her relationship with walter at the end, the way it ended with a feeling of helplessness... what can i say... at least it evokes feelings. not like the rest where i'm like "ok... so end of story. chey!". hee~

rem e lit tutor Neil Murphy say 20th century story authors almost all believe that Man is always alone. born alone, live alone, die alone. even thou they may go into relationships, but at the very end, they are still alone. individuals.

kinda sad and sombre, but somehow i feel that it may true. afterall, one can never be someone else, look into another's mind, act like another and so on... and no matter how much they love each other, it's still 'i am i, you are you'...

haha~ did i make it sound depressing?

damn, i shouldn't be talking bt this and listening to this FB song... kinda sad... ^^ oh and do i sound philosophical below: (the purple words...)?

besides, yuki always ends his novels with a sad ending too... ne? Yuki-san?
Yuki: "happy endings are crappy and disillusional."
tangerine: "maybe. but humans struggle for some kind of disillusion so that they can carry on. everyone would prefer to know of some kind of happy ending. and they want to believe in it. they hope."
Yuki: "pathetic."
tangerine: "maybe. and perhaps i'm also one of the disillusioned idiots out there. but i will it this way..."
Yuki: "..."
tangerine: "perhaps you're turning into one too... with the help of shu-chan. haha!"
Yuki: "'chi."
